Yes. E.C.I. Networks maintains a Hardware Compatibility List (HCL) identifying platforms that have been tested and validated with PacketMaestro.

The latest HCL is available upon request. E.C.I. Networks can confirm compatibility for a specific manufacturer, switch model, ASIC, and hardware revision.

Yes, in many cases. Compatible existing switching and packet-broker hardware can potentially be repurposed to run PacketMaestro.

Customers can migrate compatible legacy packet-broker platforms, including NETSCOUT PFS and Keysight/Ixia E100, to PacketMaestro. This can extend the useful life of existing hardware investments while providing a path from proprietary packet-broker solutions to an open, software-based network visibility architecture.

E.C.I. Networks can validate the exact hardware model and revision against the current PacketMaestro HCL or evaluate additional platforms for potential enablement.

PacketMaestro uses an incremental port-based licensing model, allowing customers to start with the capacity they need and expand as requirements grow.

• 10G/25G — PacketMaestro PM25: licensed in 12-port increments
• 100G/400G PacketMaestro platforms: licensed in 16-port increments

Customers therefore do not necessarily need to license every physical port on the switch from day one.

Yes. Additional port-license increments can be added as network visibility requirements grow.

For PM25, capacity can be expanded in 12-port increments, while 100G and 400G platforms can be expanded in 16-port increments. As long as physical capacity remains available on the platform, customers can activate additional PacketMaestro ports without replacing the hardware.

Yes. E.C.I. Networks can provide PacketMaestro as a complete solution including validated hardware, PacketMaestro software and licensing, optics, DACs/AOCs, breakout cables, accessories, and support services.

Customers with compatible existing hardware can also deploy PacketMaestro software following hardware validation.

PacketMaestro is available with Standard and Premium Support, with coverage available upfront for 1, 3, or 5 years.

Standard Support includes software updates, technical assistance, troubleshooting, and configuration support.

Premium Support provides an enhanced level of service for customers requiring higher-priority technical assistance and more demanding operational environments.

Customers can select the support level and term that best match their operational and lifecycle requirements.

PacketMaestro provides multiple management options:

• CLI — Comprehensive command-line configuration, monitoring, administration, and troubleshooting.
• REST API — Programmatic management and integration with external automation, orchestration, and operational platforms.
• MaestroVision — Optional centralized, GUI-based management and visibility for PacketMaestro and PacketMaestro Pro deployments.

MaestroVision is not required to operate PacketMaestro. It is particularly useful for customers managing multiple PacketMaestro systems or building a larger network visibility fabric.

Yes. E.C.I. Networks can provide the complete connectivity solution for PacketMaestro, including optical transceivers, DACs, AOCs, breakout cables, and fiber connectivity.
